Re: Time on the T&P

I’ve been looking around the Google-sphere and this is just about the only reference I can find. User says it was on West Vickery. I am hoping to find a picture of it. I’d like to see it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/386288738193562/?ref=group_header&view=permalink&id=777713255717773 The ...

It's in Caddo Parish, just southeast of Shreveport....and judging by the aerial view today, I'd guess Gayles was a flag stop ...

Re: My connection to the T&P

Hi Katherine -- Longhorn fan here! And what a great opportunity at Marshall. We just moved to Lindale so now that home is a little more convenient to Marshall, I'll have to stop by and check things out. When time permits, it would be great to hear about some of the stories you learn about the T&...

Forest Park Train

July 2, 2009 It's not even noon, and already the temperature is inching up into the 90s. In a few hours, it'll hit triple digits, but on this weekday morning, the heat doesn't matter to the crowd of kids, toddlers and assorted parents and grandparents. They're waiting for the train that will take th...

My connection to the T&P

My story will be the least-interesting of anyone who participates in these forums because I have no known connection to the T&P. Throughout my schooling, the T&P came up numerous times in studies of the Industrial Age and especially Texas history. I minored in History in college so I guess I...
