Blue Mail Car

I was wondering if the Blue and Grey mail car was part of a passenger train lineup, freight train or both. I'm collecting o guage T&P's and just bought a nice looking mail car. Thanks in advance for the input.

the blue white painted box was very common on most passenger trains most had only one on each train for express items but one a month the sunshine special later eagle from St Louis to Dallas had as many as 5 or 6 these carried magizines like life and time and the saterday evening post, and was called the magizine train. some times a special made up of only head end cars like box cars , baggage and rpo's ran the magizine train.
