From Ox Cart to Eagles

Post by TandPHoghead »

From Ox Carts to Eagles is suppose to be a book about the history of the T&P Railway Co. Has anyone heard of this book? Does anyone know how to get a copy of it? I have tried the big book stores and none of there research methods show it. I have been told it is out of production so it would not be listed on their research methods. Any information would be appreciated.

It's a great book, long out of print.Ebay is your best chance to find it. They typically sell for $100 and up.

There are two by this name:

"from Ox-Teams to Eagles, a history of the Texas and Pacific Railway"
This was from the T&P itself. Not sure of printing date. 49 pages
I bought a copy on EBay for under $50.

"Texas and Pacific Railway, ""From Oxteams to Eagles"" A History by Don Watson and Steve Brown." 256 pages
I bought a copy on EBay for under $100.

The first publication is more a "Promotional" printing than a book.
The second is full of detailed information of the RR and rolling stock.
