Description
Clipping of a captioned photograph of SR train #610. There is a plume of smoke rising from the engine. The caption reads: "Ex-Texas & Pacific No. 610 is back in action on July 15, leading a Southern Railway excursion at Efland, NC. The Greensboro-Raleigh round trip drew a big crowd for part of the Lima engine's second season on the Southern. The 610 is leased by the railroad from a private Texas foundation." Written below the image is "Passenger Train Journal Dec 1978 - pg. 12."
