The Dallas Morning News Special Train
Description
The description for this classic photograph suggests this train is the Houston and Texas Central's version of the Dallas Morning News train called the "Comet." It's not!

It's actually the T&P Dallas Morning News train. H&TC had no locomotive No. 95. The script lettering on the engineer's side spells out Texas & Pacific. There's a T&P diamond on the headlight. Finally the eagle on one of the domes is a typical T&P touch.
