Texas & Pacific / Missouri Pacific Station Annunciation Street, 1950.
The T&P station was located uptown on Annunciation Street. Prior to the construction of the Huey P. Long bridge, the trains used a railroad ferry to cross the Mississippi into Gretna. The T&P stopped at the Gretna station to pick up West Bank passengers before heading out of town.

This photo was shot by Alexander Allison in 1950. The station was demolished after the opening of the Union Passenger Terminal on Loyola Ave. in 1952.
