Photograph of the first shipment out of Grand Saline, Texas on the Texas Short Line. There are men on top of the train car, and men on a horse-drawn carriage next to it. A large house is visible in the background. Written below the image are "First shipment out of Grand Saline, Texas on the Texas Short Line Railway Co., a T&P subsidiary line. The shipment consisted of 5 cars of cotton routed to Greenville, Texas. The Time: Sept 8, 1902" and "T&P Topics, Nov 1947, pg 32."
